what are the new weapons in Valheim Ashlands
The new biome inevitably meant a new level of weapons that can be acquired in Valheim. Accordingly, a new set of Ashlands level weapons was also introduced, including Niedhogg and Slayer swords, Berzerkr axes and the mysterious “Eldner” weapon.
Each of them, in addition to their basic version, can be enchanted with runes that will add a new effect on our weapons which also means extra damage as well as buffs for our character and negative stats for our enemies. All the weapons they have currently added are:
Weapon: Berserkir Axes
Let your anger take the upper hand and drive you to slaughter. These kind of axes are two handed which means you won’t be able to have a shield without during the fight however they have astonishing 140 damage on slash attacks with as little as 16 use of stamina and weight of 2,0 which are perfect for going fully in with confidence.When we add runes to it, it becomes a deadly weapon for our enemies and for trees.
Weapon: Dyrnwyn (sword)
This hidden legendary sword will allow you to deal fire damage to your enemies which is 10 magic damage. Although this seems low it is not so at all because they will still burn for the next 5 seconds receiving 6 damage each, making the effect itself already dealing 40 fire damage. The sword itself deals 145 slashing damage which makes it the most damaging of all one-handed weapons. All in all, you deal 191 damage which makes any enemy who hopes to get at it long dead.
Weapon: Slayer
This huge sword is recommended for any Viking who likes to bring down once and for all. The sword itself is two-handed and its damage is 170 cuts. It has a not uncommonly high blocking force which is 50 which is like the new Shield Shield: Flametal Shield.
Weapon: Nidhögg (sword)
A sword named after a vile dragon. By itself, it is not very strong as it has only 135 slashing damage and 20 block strength. But when you add runes to it it becomes a deadly weapon that will meet any challenge.
Weapon: Flametal Mace
Something for Vikings who like to crack the skulls of their enemies. A powerful mace that deals 135 worth of bludgeoning damage and with a blocking power of 20. Although it doesn’t seem impressive its powerful attack will push back your enemies when they get too close to you. The weapon itself can be upgraded with a rune which gives it even more power.
Weapon: Splitnir (spear)
This spear will pierce your enemies no matter what armor they have. A fast weapon and deadly it deals 135 damage piercing block force 20. When you add runes to it you don’t want to be the person it flies at.
Weapon: Trollstav (blood magic)
With this magic castor wand you will be able to summon your big friend which is a fiery bone troll. The troll itself does not deal much damage but makes up for it with endurance. It is perfect for distracting you when you are attacked by a large group of enemies. But beware the troll itself will also attack you if you are the only person around. The wand for one summoning the troll takes 120 Eitr and 60% of health.
Weapon: Staff of the Wild (elemental magic)
If you remember the skill of the second boss, which was the twirling roots, now you will be able to summon them yourself. They inflict buff damage, which is 20 as well as poison damage, which is 20 too. It may not seem like much, but thanks to the low use of Eitr which is 55 and the lack of use of health when summoning the best food and mage robe, you will be able to summon 4 and then the whole army.
Weapon: Staff of Fracturing (elemental magic)
Another wand easy to create but of all magic wands it is the weakest. It deals only 12 double-edged damage and consumes 30 eitr. Weapon: Dundr (elemental magic)
Although no one expected it, this weapon is like a magic shotgun. It deals lightning damage which is 20 damage and does not cost us eitr but stamina every time we reload, just something really odd but satisfying.
Weapon: Ash Fang (bow)
This is a bow that would not stand out except for the damage, which is 82 piercing against other bows. But thanks to the possibility of upgrading it with a rune, it changes the character of things.
Weapon: Ripper (crossbow)
A huge crossbow a big toy for big Vikings. The crossbow itself deals 220 piercing damage which we can further enhance with a rune. A deadly weapon that is able to kill per bullet in stealth mode all monsters up to Mistlands.
Ammunition: Charred Bolt
The best crossbow ammunition and very cheap to produce deals 82 piercing damage so anyone using these bolts in their crossbow will feel it’s true power.
Ammunition: Charred Arrow
The best ammunition for bows and very cheap to produce deals 82 piercing damage so it is quick and easy to dab our opponents with arrows.
Shield: Flametal Shield (with multiple styles!)
A shield for any Viking who doesn’t like to lose his mobility and likes to cover himself with something. This shield has a block strength of 50 but comparing it to the shield from Mistlands it has one feature more you can paint it with a pattern of your choice.
Shield: Flametal Tower Shield (with multiple styles!)
A great shield for those who don’t like to parry but fully block. The strongest, and largest shield with stats of 150 block, only the strongest creatures can scratch it, the rest don’t even have a chance to break through.

What is the strongest weapon in Valheim?
Previously the strongest weapon was Mistwalker which dealt ice damage as well as silver damage that was handy against undead. Currently after the new huge update in 2024 Ashlands, the strongest weapon is “Dyrnwyn”, which you can only craft it if will visit 3 mystery places which can be found in the stone tablet in Fortresses around Ashlands.
