Any true Viking who sets out on a sea expedition should have the best possible ship to plunder more biomes and conquer new schemes. Therefore, I will present each type of ship that we can create in the world of Valheim at a given stage of our gameplay.

To our disposal we have 4 ships that will differ in appearance, speed and capacity, the first ship we can create is the one bellow.
The Raft
The recipe will be unlocked after building the first workbench. It is made from 20 pieces of wood, 6 pieces of leather and 6 pieces of resin.
To build it, put down a Workbench near water, then use your Hammer and select the Raft from the Miscellaneous tab of your crafting menu.
The ideal ship for short distances between islands if we will not be able to cover a given distance in a buy. It is not suitable for longer journeys due to low speed as well as endurance and the lack of a box on board.
Karve
The Karve is much faster than the Raft and has four slots of storage space that can be used to carry ore and other valuable items from expeditions.
To unlock the Karve scheme we will need copper and tin from the black forest to create bronze. The creation cost alone will cost us 30 Fine Wood, 10 Deer Hide, 20 Resin and 80 Bronze Nails.
The Longboat
The ship that every Viking dreams for longer journeys which is the fastest and biggest ship in whole Valheim.
The crafting ingredients to build a Longboat are 100 Iron Nails, 10 Deer Hide, 40 Fine Wood and 40 Ancient Bark.
It has a cargo hold with 18 seats, extended seats, ladders on both sides leading out of the water. All these advantages mean that you can explore without fear all biomes except Ashlands because the waters there will destroy your ship with ease, but even for this there is a solution and it’s a giant among giants called Drakkar.
Drakkar
It’s the largest ship in the entire Valheim game having 32 slots for our loot and huge endurance. The speed is the same as The Longboat but the ship itself is designed exclusively for travel to the Ashlands.
It’s the only ship that can withstand the high temperatures that occur there and will allow safe travel while the water is even in boiling point and will deal you damage if you swim in it so this boat is a must have for this kind of travel.
The crafting ingredients to build the Drakkar are Iron Nails x100,Ceramic plate x30,Precious wood x50,Yggdrasil wood x25 from Misland.

How to unlock a boat in Valheim?
Unlocking the Karve -In order to unlock the Karve, players will have to have mined both copper and tin, combined them into bronze, then turned that bronze bar into bronze nails. Once a player has had bronze nails in their inventory, the recipe for building a Karve should be available.
