Alright today is the day that the newest update to Valheim dropped and with it a brand new boss! You are here to discover how to defeat Valheim Fader boss. I will teach you everything about this dragon of death and the father of all fallen warriors in the Ashlands.
Also if you don’t know how to find the veins of flametal ore that are needed to craft a lot of new things with make sure to check our blog all about it.
How to Locate Fader in Valheim ashlands
In order to locate the Fader, you must read the tablet that contains information about his whereabouts. The plaque with Fader’s location is located in the central tower of the Charred Fortress.
Charred Fortresses can be recognized by the massive square buildings with green smoke rising from above. To break through the thick walls of the Charred Fortress, you will need a Taran or a catapult which you will get after capturing our first fortress and destroying the bone crossbows.
Once you make it to the fortress there will be a stone tablet it will show you the location of our Fader.
How to Summon the Fader Valheim
To summon the Fader you must collect “Bell Fragments” from the central tower inside the Charred Fortress. In the “Black Forge” you can exchange three Bell Fragments for one Bell, but to summon the Fader you will need three Bells in total. This means that conquering one Charred Fortress will not be enough, as there are usually two to four Bell Fragments per central tower, If you’re lucky.
Clearing three Charred Fortresses will provide you with enough Bell Fragments to summon the Ashen Lands boss. Once you’ve obtained the three Bells, head to Fader’s location, indicated by Vegvisir. His lair looks like an old Colosseum, inside this arena you will see three Bell racks.
Place one Bell on each of these bell holders, then interact with the Altar of Emerald Flame in the middle of the arena to summon Fader.
How to beat Fader Valheim
When the sky turns green Fader will fall from the sky after a few seconds drink concoctions for fire resistance and for permanent condition and a less large supply of concoctions for health. When he does, however, it’s better not to stand where he appears because even before the fight starts you will receive a lot of damage, so you absolutely do not want to be right below him when it happens – it’s best to wait right next to the Altar.
Once the boss fight starts, expect the following attacks from the Ashlands boss:
- Biting
- Swiping/grabbing with its paws
- Spinning attack
- Summoning meteorites
- Summoning minions
- Fire-breathing
- Summoning spikes
The best way to defeat Fader is to keep your distance when he summons meteorites or spikes from the ground. These are the most lethal physical as well as fire damage for us. Biom Ashlands has an excellent set of heavy armor made of Flametal which has the most armor in the entire game as well as a bonus of up to 40% fire resistance.
A relatively easy way to defeat Fader is to use Trollstava to summon a large, fiery bias that will attack Fader for you. You can then keep your distance and use another ranged weapon or take the opportunity to melee attack him when he is busy with our troll. If the Fader targets you, run behind the walls of the Colosseum – the Fader can break through the walls, but it will take him some time, enough for you to escape.
VALHEIM WHAT DOES Fader DROP?
Fader drops the Fader Trophy and five Fader Relics. Fader Relics is a replacement item that will undoubtedly play a role later in the future update called “Far North”.
CONCLUSION
So remember when the sky turns green, Fader will descend, so drink fire resistance and permanent condition concoctions, and avoid standing where he lands to prevent significant damage, just wait at the Altar. During the fight, Fader will use various attacks, including biting, swiping, spinning, summoning meteorites, minions, fire-breathing, and spikes.
To defeat him easily just maintain distance during meteorite and spike attacks, and equip Flametal armor from Biom Ashlands for maximum protection and fire resistance.
