You will have to face dangers in the form of wild animals and other creatures that inhabit the forest which can be quite hard at times especially at the start when you don’t have any weapon to defend yourself. One of the game’s most distinctive elements is its atmosphere, which builds tension through dark environments, sounds and unexpected events such as even jump scares! It’s quite similar to Valheim but close enough and definitely.

4 northgard
Northgard know for it’s real-time strategy gameplay that was developed by independent studio Shiro Games. The game is set in the world of Vikings and Norse mythology just like Valheim but here the players control clans of Vikings who fight for control of terrain that can give them food as well as more building space since it’s dependent on the tiles, as example you could only build 3 buildings as default on 1 tile and if you want to build more you got 2 options, one would be to upgarde the land which is quite expensive or just fight for a new land and get it for a lot cheaper!
In Northgard players start with a small Viking settlement with the goal of exploring, expanding and developing to gain dominance over Northgard map. The game offers several different gameplay modes, including story campaigns, a multiplayer mode and a survival mode in which players must survive in harsh conditions that could change depending on the game difficulty set.
The main goal in Northgard is to develop one’s clan by collecting resources, building structures, developing a settlement, exploring the map and fighting other clans and dangerous creatures that inhabit Northgard. The game also offers management elements in which players must manage their resources, economy and population to achieve success. The big unique in Northgard it’s seasonal system which will affect your gameplay such as during the winter the map will become cold an frosty as well as your farmers will not be able to harvest crops that efficiently and in this season time hunting would be more beneficial which is a great way to keep the game alive at all time in the real time strategy that is set in!
5 minecraft
Minecraft is probably the closest thing to Valheim since you got there open world made up of blocks that can be destroyed, placed and transformed, giving players great freedom to create and explore virtual environments as well as there are thing such as creative gamemode for players to use if they turn on cheats in game. The game does not have a specific goal, allowing players to freely choose their path so you can do anything in there you like, it’s focused on building as well and survival however the world of Minecraft isn’t as hard or even close to Valheim but the gameplay experience is definitely there.
One of the most popular modes is Survival and Hardcore mode, in which players must gather resources and well do anything they like but to succeed they need to end the game which is to kill the Elder Dragon that can be quite challenging during the early game if you don’t use any “cheesy strategy”. You will have total free dom after the main boss and they world is only the limit! (btw. the world is automaticaly generated and there is no limit!)
Minecraft just like Valheim offers multiplayer experience where you could add some mods to etchant your experience that you could enjoy with a part of friends, there is a lot more to Minecraft if you get mods since everything in there can be done or was done almost let’s say!
The game is prized for its creativity, freedom and building capabilities, which attract players of all interests and ages that’s why it’s so successfully and also close in similarities to Valheim.
