Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC is divided into seven rather long chapters, the game time can reach about four hours if we look into every corner. Although it is not a new scenario, but in a new edition it is impressive. We play from the perspective of Ada Wong who has wandered into a Spanish village to fight crazy cultists on behalf of Albert Wesker.
HOW TO GET WEAPONS IN RE4 SEPARATE WAYS?
Although there are not many weapons in the Separate Ways DLC, there is a clear division between the weakest and the strongest. when it comes to firearms, we recommend the Red9.
However, by acquiring this weapon, you will be approaching the last chapter available in the DLC, so it may not be necessary to recommend it. Still, the choice will be available when you reach Chapter 4. For this reason, we recommend the TMP I W-870 for general use, the Explosive Crossbow I Rocket Launcher for boss fights and the Stingray for high damage, precision shooting if you have plenty of ammunition in reserve. However, like Red9, the Stingray can be purchased in Chapter 5, placing its recommendation lower on the list in terms of availability and use throughout the DLC.
If you’re playing on a higher difficulty level, using this weapon may not be as viable due to limited ammunition throughout the DLC. With a total of 5 chapters, you may find that you will be using the Black Tail on the upswing. If that’s the case, upgrading it whenever possible will keep the damage dealt constant, while still being able to gain ammunition to maintain a consistently high survival rate. Here’s how to unlock the best weapons in different ways:
Item | Availability |
---|---|
TMP | Unlocked by default |
W-870 | Merchant (Chapter 2) for 12,000 |
Rocket Launcher | Merchant (Chapter 2) for 80,000 |
Explosive Crossbow | Abandoned Factory (Chapter 3) |
Stingray | Merchant (Chapter 5) for 20,000 |
Red9 | Merchant (Chapter 4) for 14,000 |
The Best Weapons in Separate Ways
Blacktail AC: This pistol stands out as the ultimate weapon in the DLC. When fully upgraded, Ada’s starting Blacktail AC deals 1.5 times more damage, significantly increasing the chances of staggering enemies and achieving one-shot kills.
Stingray: While not the absolute best, a fully upgraded Stingray is a solid option. Its performance is worth considering when choosing your arsenal.
Elite Knife: Although not a firearm, the Elite Knife is a valuable bonus weapon. It’s virtually indestructible, allowing Ada to save credits for upgrading other weapons. Its maximum power is around 2, making it more than capable of eliminating enemies at close range. Additionally, it’s an ideal replacement for the Combat Knife due to its unbreakable nature.
Punisher MC: Despite having lower stats, the Punisher MC has special effects that make it useful. It’s one of the rare weapons that can equip a Laser Sight and has penetrative capabilities. Consider it an accurate emergency weapon for crowd-control scenarios.

CONCLUSION
Whether you’re a fan of Leon, Ada or Luis in this DLC you’ll get to interact with each of them so there’s something for every fan. Playing from Ada’s perspective, we can learn completely new and interesting things even though the game scenario is the same. Personally, I recommend the game to people who like RE game developers enter the heights and always give us interesting gameplay, lots of action, lots of shooting and a new story.
