A Story Full of Imagination

The main characters of Split Fiction are Mio and Zoe – two writers, one specializing in science fiction and the other in fantasy. One day, they are connected to a mysterious machine designed to steal their ideas, leading to unexpected consequences. The women find themselves trapped in the worlds they created and must join forces to regain their freedom and save their stories.
Gameplay – Cooperation is Key
The action in Split Fiction is presented from a third-person perspective (TPP), and the screen always displays both characters, regardless of whether you play locally or online. You will explore diverse locations inspired by Mio and Zoe’s creations, solving puzzles, tackling agility challenges, and experiencing thrilling adventures. Some of the exciting activities include:
- training small dragons,
- escaping from trolls,
- dodging cars thrown by a parking robot,
- engaging in a dance battle with a monkey!
Friend Pass – Invite a Friend for Free!
Just like Hazelight’s previous games, Split Fiction offers the Friend Pass system. This means that only one copy of the game is required for online co-op – an invited player can join for free without purchasing their own copy. Moreover, the game supports cross-platform play, allowing players from different platforms to enjoy the adventure together!

Reviews and Player Opinions
The game has received positive reviews, and here’s one of them:
“Definitely one of the best co-op games ever, maybe even GOTY 2025. Much better than It Takes Two. If you have a companion to play with, you will have so much fun with it. The game is packed with action, dynamics, and rotation mechanics. I’d even say that the game masters it to the highest level, as high as no other game has ever done. MASTERPIECE!!!!”
