“Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is a title that makes fans of the series happy, as it is a definite return to the roots. The developers decided to focus on classic stealth.
In older versions of “Assassin’s Creed,” stealth had somewhat lost its importance, giving way to spectacular clashes using a variety of weapons. However, in “AC Mirage” we return to our roots, where the assassinations carried out by the Order of the Hidden, the later Assassins, are again done from stealth.
Gameplay in “AC Mirage” is based primarily on stealth, and it must be said that this change proves apt. The animations accompanying assassinations and movements in stealth are smooth and aesthetically pleasing, which contributes to the unique feeling of satisfaction after each successful murder.
Our character’s main weapon is a hidden blade, and is supported by various additional tools, such as a throwing knife and smoke bombs. The player has the ability to develop and customize these tools to suit his needs.
However, sometimes it is inevitable that a situation arises in which we will be detected, and then we can choose between escaping or fighting . Combat in “AC Mirage” is mainly based on simple attacks and blocking, which is not the most impressive aspect of the game. Nevertheless, the variety of weapons and the possibility to exchange them for new ones at least gives some flexibility in the approach to combat.
An extremely important element of “AC Mirage” is stealth, which is rewarded and is the primary mode of gameplay. Whether you choose to fight or sneak, every aspect of the gameplay works smoothly and satisfyingly.
The game’s plot focuses on the character Basim, whom we could get to know in the previous installment of the series, “AC Valhalla.” At that time Basim did not win the sympathy of players, but in “AC Mirage” we get the opportunity to learn about his story and motivations. The game is fully accessible to those who did not have to deal with the earlier installments of the series, which is a big plus.
Basim’s story takes us through a lot of surprises and surprises. The protagonist undergoes a transformation from a simple thief to an important member of the Order of the Hidden, which is a fascinating element of the story. The game is able to provide a coherent story even for players who are unfamiliar with previous installments of the series.
Visually, “AC Mirage” also looks impressive. Stunning vistas, detailed designed cities and desert areas, as well as realistic ambient sounds create a remarkable atmosphere. Ubisoft proves that next-generation games can not only be expansive in terms of gameplay, but also visually beautiful.
“Panorama in AC Mirage”.
In “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” it’s not just the gameplay and storyline that impress, but also the beautiful panorama of the world that Ubisoft has created. The views in the game are stunning and are an important part of enriching the players’ experience.
The game takes us to the magical Middle East, where we can admire impressive cities, most notably Baghdad. Every detail is refined – from the architecture of the buildings, to the details of the characters’ outfits, to the picturesque and impressive landscapes.
Ubisoft also took care of the audiovisual atmosphere, weaving the ubiquitous Arabic language into the dialogues and character expressions. All this adds to the game’s unique charm and authenticity, making the journey through the world of “AC Mirage” even more delightful.
It should be noted, however, that despite the stunning vistas, the game sometimes has some imperfections, especially in the area of voice acting. Dialogues and voice performances of characters do not always meet expectations.
