If you’ve played Rust, you know that nothing makes you happier than a decent raid. But to make a hole in someone else’s wall – or to secure your own – you need to know what it comes with. Well, and how much of it to take. Today we’re taking a stone wall to the workshop.

How Much Explosive Ammo for Stone Wall in Rust

10 Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo = 1 rocket for comparison.
Stone wall (Stone Wall) = 180 Explosive 5.56.

Yes, one hundred and eighty. That is, a full three magazines of 30 times two… and another full one for accuracy. But why so much ?

Stone walls have 500 HP, and one explosive ammunition deals about 2.5-3 damage to them (on average). And here is the buried dog – stone has more resistance than wood or sheet metal. Anyway, that’s how Rust figured it out, so it wouldn’t be too easy.

Is it worth it ?

It depends. Explosive ammo is expensive – you need gunpowder, metal and raw materials. So if you plan to use it seriously for raid, it’s good to:

  • have a good target (read: loot on the other side),
  • have a stockpile, because you might not get it right the first time,
  • and ideally you should operate in a team – because alone is both boring and expensive.

If you don’t have too many raw materials or don’t know how to proceed then try to get:

Aim for a weaker spot – for example, a door may have less HP or be easier to smash with the same amount of ammo.

Use a silencer and a sniper rifle (LR-300 / Semi Rifle) – you save ammo and reduce the noise around you.

Combine with other explosives – sometimes it’s cheaper to use a rocket or C4, depending on the situation and what you have on hand.

CONCLUSION

To destroy a stone wall in Rust, you’ll need around 180 Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo, since each shot deals only 2.5–3 damage to the wall’s 500 HP. It’s costly and resource-intensive, so make sure you have a solid target, plenty of supplies, and ideally a team. Sometimes it’s smarter to aim for weaker spots or mix in other explosives like rockets or C4.
